Wharehuia Milroy QSO is a Professor of Māori language. He is a descendant of Ngāi Tūhoe and Ngati Koura tribes. Together with Professor Tīmoti S. Kāretu and Professor Pou Temara, he is a Lecturer of the Panekiretanga ō te Reo . He is a recipient of the Maori Creative New Zealand Te Waka Toi award.
