George Clyde Kell was an American Major League Baseball third baseman who played fifteen seasons for the Philadelphia Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and Baltimore Orioles. Kell went on to become a Detroit Tigers broadcaster for thirty-seven years. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
