Leonard Simon Nimoy was an American actor, film director, photographer, author, singer and songwriter. Nimoy fell into a coma and died of complications from COPD at the age of 83, in his Bel Air home. Adam Nimoy said that as his father came closer to death, "he mellowed out. He made his family a priority and his career became secondary."
